Walking With Grief
Virtual

Grief changes the way people move through their days, their relationships and their sense of who they are. The support they need can look different depending on the loos, their age, and what is happening around them. Our Walking with Grief Course is for people who want to understand those differences and feel more prepared to support someone through them.

Over 5 days, we will explore grief and mourning, children and grief, and pregnancy and infant loss. We will look at how grief can show up in everyday life, why mourning does not follow a set timeline, and how to respond when someone needs space to speak about a person they love who has died. Our course also addresses the ways children understand death at different ages, including the questions they ask and how grief can appear in their behaviour. Pregnancy and infant loss deserve care that acknowledges both the baby and the life a family had begun to imagine. We discuss language, family dynamics, and the harm that can come from trying to make a loss sound smaller than it truly is.

Throughout our week you will build practical ways to listen, respond, and offer support for your clients. This course is for Death Doulas, caregivers, teachings, professionals, and anyone who wants to meet grieving people with greater understanding.
